Cruise Timeline


Boarding at 9:50 am

Your journey begins from Port Denarau boarding at 9:50am, greeted with a warm smile and a glass of Champagne in hand. Find a seat in the dining area to enjoy your continental breakfast as the ship sets sail.

Breakfast/Sight Seeing

Enjoy a continental breakfast and then retire to the open deck with your coffee or juice listening to the commentary and taking in the beautiful scenery on your way to Schooner Island which is exclusively yours ships for the day.

Arrival

Here at the Island your adventure begins with a Kava Ceremony, followed by snorkeling the reef. Whatever your skill level is, you will be snorkeling in no time. As well as exploring the reef by glass bottom boat or for a little extra money, motor assisted scuba diving. This adventuring will surely work up your appetite, come back ashore for lunch be served.

Activities

The afternoon is yours for fishing, beach volleyball, kayaking, swimming or just soaking up the sun with a refreshing drink and for a little extra money a massage.


Departure

As the day draws to a close, you will board the ship and set sail for home.  Eat, drink and perhaps even take the wheel. If it is your special occasion the forewarned crew will celebrate with a fresh baked cake!


Return 5:00 PM

Disembarking approx. 5pm at Port Denarau to take your connecting transport to the airport or Hotel. You leave relaxed, refreshed, and revived.

FAQ

When do we depart?

Departure is at 10:00 am from Port Denarau. Boarding begins at 9:50 am.

When do we return?
The “Whale’s Tale“ shall return to Port Denarau approx. 17:00 hrs. During the return sail the guests can enjoy entertainment and drinks on board.
What food and drinks will be included?
A continental champagne breakfast will be available from 9:50 am. This will include fresh-baked scones, danish, toast, fresh fruits together with champagne, a selection of fruit juices, coffee, tea, and milk.

The lunch will include chicken, fish, roast beef, and sausages along with coleslaw, potato & tossed green salad with a selection of salad dressings along with fresh bread & butter. Dessert will include a selection of fresh local fruits. (note: all meals are freshly prepared by your own onboard chef).

Soft drinks, Fiji bitter, Fiji gold & wine, coffee, tea, milk & fruit juices will be available during the entire day free of charge.

Do you do anything special for birthdays and other special occasions?
If you or your client is celebrating a birthday, honeymoon, anniversary or any other special occasion our onboard chef will bake you a special cake and our crew will present you with a complimentary “whale’s tale” sulu. (please advise us of the special occasion when your booking is made).
How many days a week do you operate ?
We operate 7 days a week.
What is the route of the trip?
Guests shall visit your own private & exclusive uninhabited “schooner” island paradise and sail/cruise by 4 additional islands (non-stop) namely malamala island, south sea island, bounty & treasure island in the mamanutha group. This is the only one day sail/cruise offering this 4 island spectacular sightseeing.
You mentioned snorkeling. Will equipment be provided?
Mask, snorkel and fins will be provided free of charge.
